The mother of Jennifer Dulos, the Connecticut lady missing for more than a week, litigated Tuesday seeking custody of her 5 grandchildren.
Gloria Farber, Jennifer Dulos’ mom, cited the recent arrest of her daughter’s estranged spouse and requested that the children remain in her care even if he makes his $500,000 bail.
Fotis Dulos and sweetheart Michelle Troconis were detained Saturday and charged with hindering prosecution and damaging proof in connection with Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance.
Farber has been caring for the Dulos kids at her house in New york city City since her child’s disappearance. Farber and her late spouse also sued Fotis Dulos in 2015, declaring in court files he did not repay a $1.7 million loan he borrowed to buy and redevelop high-end homes. The lawsuit declared Fotis Dulos defaulted on a loan for a property in New Canaan and for the purchase of a home in Farmington, Conn., where he and Jennifer Dulos lived till separating in 2017.
The kids– 3 kids and 2 women, including 2 sets of twins– variety in age from 8 to 13, and have been at the center of a contentious custody battle between the parents, court records show.
According to court files, Jennifer Dulos said she was “terrified for [her] family’s security … because my hubby has a history of controlling, unstable and delusional behavior.” She also accused her husband of 13 years of threatening to kidnap their children and take them to Greece.
” In the past, my husband has referred to disappearing to a ski resort, ‘where everyone uses masks every day and are equivalent from one another,'” Jennifer Dulos declared in court filings.
Fotis Dulos, a customized home contractor, was born and raised in Greece but went to college at Brown University in the U.S. His current girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, has a 10- year-old child of her own. Troconis’ ex-husband is a previous Olympic skier and lives in Argentina.
Troconis was launched Monday on $500,000 bail and was purchased to use an ankle display. Fotis Dulos stays incarcerated,
Jennifer Dulos was reported missing on Might 24 and was last seen driving a black Chevy Suburban as she dropped off her kids at their private school in New Canaan.
Dulos’ cars and truck was found abandoned behind Waveny Park, a popular 250- acre recreation spot that has jogging tracks as well as picnic areas, soccer, baseball and softball fields.
Connecticut state police together with canine units have been sorting through trash at an energy plant in Hartford for the past two days. Authorities think Dulos was the victim of a violent physical assault.
Surveillance video footage of a guy and lady matching the description of her separated hubby and his girlfriend in over 30 places in Hartford across a four-mile radius show the people disposing of trash bags, a few of which contained clothes products, which have checked favorable for the missing out on female’s blood, and a kitchen sponge, according to a cops search warrant.
