Pelicans news: Blazers’ Damian Lillard thinks Lonzo Ball will be ‘really good’ in New Orleans – ClutchPoints
The Pelicans sent out Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round picks. Damian Lillard thinks that the Pelicans remain in great hands with Ball running the show for them in the future. The superstar point guard believes Ball will have an impact on both ends of the flooring.
Damian Lillard stated that Ball will be “actually excellent” in New Orleans. He mentioned that the former UCLA standout, who was the second total pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, is a great defender and a great passer.

The Lakers were very high up on Ball when they chose him in the draft 2 years ago, but the 21- year-old guard was slowed down by injuries in his very first 2 seasons in the league. He was limited to 47 video games last season, when he balanced 9.9 points on top of 5.4 helps and 5.3 rebounds per video game. Lonzo Ball shows significant promise; his constraints have not originate from his basketball acumen or the method he carried out on the court. Injuries have actually been the primary roadblock.
But in spite of underperforming in the last two seasons, Ball has an advocate: Damian Lillard is still persuaded that Ball will eventually find his mark. He will be playing along with Zion Williamson, who was picked initially in general in Thursday’s draft. Lillard said that he “like what New Orleans has got going” with the current relocations the Pelicans made.
