Since the costs of content boost annual, the price hike is rather expected; PlayStation Vue raised its costs in a similar style last summer. Other streaming suppliers like YouTube TELEVISION, Netflix and AT&T’s DirecTVNow raised their rates earlier this year. Hulu coped with the higher costs of content by lowering the cost of its basic service however increasing the expense of its live TV packages.
For the rest of 2019, PlayStation Vue subscribers will have to pay $50 each month for the Gain access to plan, $55 per month for the Core strategy, $65 each month for the Elite plan and $85 monthly for the Ultra strategy. While the rate boost may be nominal for some customers, for others it could be an excellent excuse to jump ship. Cord Cutters News reported today that PlayStation Vue was able to renew most of its content offers. Last month the company was stalled in renewal talks with AMC, Discovery, NBC Universal and Turner. So if you choose to stick to PlayStation Vue, you can be rest guaranteed there will no blackout periods.
