The food that a baby should consume

The feeding of the baby during the first year is very important for its development and it depends on the parents that their food habit will be healthy in the future. It is important to follow the doctor’s recommendations and not offer the baby foods that may be allergens.   • Six months. You can start introducing foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and cereals. It is important to start with non-acid, fiber-rich fruits such as papaya, passion fruit, banana, and apple. Vegetables, such as auyama, carrots, peas, and spinach, are good choices for the little one.
  • Seven months. Within the complementary food, you can give it meat, as long as it is soft and juicy, like tenderloin and chicken without skin. Cook soups and creams liquefied with chicken and meat, while the baby learns to swallow food.
  • Eight months. The baby can continue consuming proteins of animal origin, such as beef, guts, and liver. You can also incorporate fruits such as mango, guanábana, and vegetables such as chard, celery, potato, veterinary and cauliflower.
  • Nine months. The baby can consume some legumes, such as beans, dried peas, chickpeas and lentils, and eggs. (If you have a history of allergies, only up to one year of age).
  • Ten months. You can include yogurt and cereals for breakfast. Also give non-gas producing vegetables, such as lettuce, cabbage, onion, and garlic.
  • Eleven months. You can give cookies, preferably oatmeal or wholegrain.
