Manisha Moun were excellent at home on debut bout to Christina Cruz.
On Day Two of the Women’s World Boxing Championship, young pugilist makes a confident start to her AIBA Women’s World Championship campaign; easily rode the challenge of USA’s Christina Cruz securing a confident 5-0 victory and enters 54 kg pre-quarters at at Indira Gandhi International Stadium, New Delhi.
The 20-year-old Haryana boxer, making her debut in the World Championships, was in complete control during the whole of first round against the America; twice her opposition.
On the other hand, the 36-year-old, Cruz, is a two-time World bronze medallist but Manisha’s body langauge was full of confidence and didn’t get deterred by the reputation of the opponent.
In the pre-quarterfinals on Sunday, Manisha now faces reigning world champion Dina Zholaman of Kazakhstan, whom she had beaten in the Poland event.
